The state of Oregon, the 33rd state, celebrates its birthday or statehood on Valentine’s Day-February 14, 1859!

Each year I pull out this resource in the midst of the Valentine’s Day craziness-you know what I’m talking about!

Hearts, candy, chocolate and love notes are fun but take time to teach about Oregon geography, landforms and learn some fun facts!

Have you been to the only National Park in Oregon?

Crater Lake is Oregon’s only National Park- it’s breathtaking –learn more about it here!
